Giving Back
Giving something back to people and communities that need it is part of who we are. From fundraising to volunteering, we’re proud to support causes close to our hearts and make a difference where it really counts.
Our 2025 charities of the year

Claire House Children’s Hospice
Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life.
By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support, Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.

Nightingale House Hospice
Nightingale House Hospice provides specialist palliative care services for those with life-limiting illnesses.
Its services are completely free of charge, to patients and their families across a catchment area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns, including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
Charity Inflatable 5K Fundraiser
Earlier this month, our team, supported by friends and family, took on the Inflatable 5K in Knutsford.
Across two laps and 30 inflatable obstacles, they bounced, slid and scrambled their way to the finish line.
Not only did they complete the challenge, but they also raised fantastic funds for our chosen charities, all while enjoying the sunshine.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated, donated or shared their support. It truly makes a difference.
Our 2024 charities
Parkinson's UK
A progressive disease of the nervous system marked by a tremor, muscular rigidity, and slow, imprecise movement, chiefly affecting middle-aged and elderly people. It is associated with degeneration of the basal ganglia of the brain and a deficiency of the neurotransmitter dopamine.

Tiny Stars
The Neonatal Unit at Arrowe Park Hospital is a designated Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – one of only two in Cheshire and Merseyside. This means they are able to care for some of the most poorly babies. The hospital’s Neonatal Unit currently has 24 cots, enabling the team to provide specialised care for babies from around 22 weeks of pregnancy.
2024 charity handover
In February 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming Keri from Parkinson’s UK and Phil from Tiny Stars to our Ewloe office to present them with our donations from our year of fundraising.
We are pleased to have raised £1,425.09 for Parkinson’s UK and £1,325.09 for Tiny Stars, bringing our 2024 fundraising efforts to £2,750.18!
A huge thank you to our clients, the Astute team, and our friends and families for all of their donations, which will enable both charities to continue to support those who need them most.
Charity day
We kick-started our charity fundraising for Tiny Stars and Parkinson’s UK by holding a charity day.
This day was full of director challenges, guess the baby, dress down, a raffle, staff lunch, and more. In doing so, we were able to raise an amazing £466!
We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff that took part.
Sponsored Walk
Saturday 1 June was the perfect day for some of our staff to complete a 13km walk around and including Moel Famau.
We raised an amazing £415 for Parkinson’s UK and Tiny Stars.
Summer BBQ
On Wednesday 26 June, we had a fun-packed day raising money for our chosen charities, Parkinson’s UK and Tiny Stars.
The day included dress down, raffles, a boardroom quiz, and a lunchtime BBQ, kindly supplied by the Brunch Vista Building cafe.
Tough Mudder
On Saturday 13 July, our Tough Mudders took on the 10km circuit at Heaton Park.
Our team struggled through mud, tunnels, towers, water, and electricity in the aid of raising a further £292 for our charities.
Well done to you all.
Our previous charities of the year
Throughout 2023, we had a fun-packed year raising money for charities MND and The Dog’s Trust.
Our hard work and commitment paid off when Richard Shackelford from MND and Kate Ankers from The Dog’s Trust visited our Ewloe offices for the Charity Committee to present cheques, each of £1,692.50.
